Clematis montana are fastgrowing climbers up to 6 m high. They are very hardy and flower very richly in spring. Like ‘Giant Star’, ‘Rosebud’ was developed in New Zealand.

The flowers are semi-double and have a warm pink colour. Because they are semi-double they allow a good view on the golden-yellow anthers. ‘Rosebud’ looks great against walls, trellis or in a tree.

When the plants grow older, they become even more floriferous.
