An attractive compact evergreen shrub with striking variegated foliage. The habit is compact and rather broad spreading; pruning is not necessary.

The common name ‘Mirror plant’ this refers to the thick, shining leaves. In the greater part of North-Western Europe Coprosma is frost tender but very useful in borders and tubs. In southern parts of Britain and comparable areas it will survive outside. It is not susceptible to pests and diseases.

A sunny or semi-shaded place is ideal. The variegated dark green leaves are egg-shaped to obovate and have relatively broad orange margins, turning orangered on older leaves.

During autumn the leaves change into a dramatic red with green. These colours stay during winter and make ‘Fireburst’ a striking plant.

Available in Europe.
