Agapanthus is a small genus of perennials with fleshy roots. In nature they only occur in Southern Africa.

There are over 250 cultivars that are very popular throughout the entire world. Because it is not hardy enough in most of the temperate regions, it is almost always offered as pot or tub plant. Agapanthus ‘Blue Horizons’ is a compact plant that reaches a height of about 80cm.

This compact habit makes ‘Blue Horizons’ an excellent tub plant for all terraces and balconies. It can also be used as cutflower. The flowers are blue and open during summer. The foliage is truly unique: each leaf is edged creamy-white, a great advantage over other Agapanthus cultivars.

‘Blue Horizons’ is not only attractive when in flower, it is also suitable as foliage plant. Agapanthus ‘Blue Horizons’, exclusively offered by Van Vliet New Plants in Europe and is a very good addition in the range of Agapanthus.

The colour of its foliage, together with the compact habit, make ‘Blue Horizons’ an excellent perennial for many purposes.
