A compact evergreen shrub that combines several attractive features: during summer the foliage is green with creamy yellow margins (sometimes the main vein is also creamy yellow).

In spring the young shoots are purplish red and will be readily followed by dark pink flowers. In May and June the attractive young shoots are still visible and make a fine combination with the flowers.

This globe-shaped shrub will reach a height of about 1′ 8″ and a spread of about 2′. It must be grown in well-drained soil and must not dry out during the season. ‘Orphan Annie’ may be used in tubs and pots, in the (perennial) border or in mass plantings.

Available in Europe and New Zealand.
